Voice Changer
Voice Changer lets you perform a line yourself and hear it in another voice. Your words, timing and emotion stay the same; only the voice changes.
Change a voice
- Open Voice Changer in the sidebar.
- Add your recording:
- choose Record, speak, then choose Stop, or
- choose Choose file, or drag a file onto Record yourself, or drop a recording.
- Check the recording in the player. Choose Change to pick another.
- On the right, under New voice, choose a voice. Choose the play button to hear it.
- Tick the options you want (see below).
- Choose Change to voice name.
The file uploads, then the job starts. You see its progress, for example Step 1 of 2 · Changing the voice…. You can leave the page. The result appears under Your voice changes.
Options
- Remove background noise first: cleans your recording before changing the voice. Costs an extra 1,000 credits a minute.
- Return the video too: only for video files. You also get the same video with the new voice. On by default.
- New voice list:
- Your workspace's own voices come first, then Cinara's voices.
- Filter with All, Female or Male.
- The menu above the list picks which regional names to show for Cinara voices.
- Open Voice Changer from a voice card in Voice Library to start with that voice selected.
The result
- Your recording (marked before) plays the original.
- Voice name's voice is the changed audio.
- Video with the new voice appears when you uploaded a video and kept Return the video too.
- Each result has a Download button.
Limits
- Recordings up to 10 minutes.
- Files up to 2 GB.
- Audio or video files.
- Works best with one person speaking. When several people talk, each keeps part of their own voice.
Credits
- 300 credits per minute, rounded up.
- With Remove background noise first: 1,300 credits per minute (300 + 1,000).
- The minimum is 1 credit.
- If the job fails, your credits are refunded.
Tips
- Record somewhere quiet, close to the microphone.
- Act the line the way you want it delivered. Pace, pauses and emotion carry over.
- Choose a voice of a similar age and energy to your performance for the most natural result.
- Only turn on noise removal when there's real background noise. It costs more.
- Choose Test mic before recording to check the level.
