Getting started
This guide covers your account, signing in, phone verification, your workspace, credits, and where your results go.
Create an account
- Go to app.cinara.ai.
- Choose Sign up. The page says "Start with 10,000 free credits. No card needed."
- Fill in:
- Your name
- Password: at least 8 characters.
- Country code and Mobile number. Pick your country code from the list, or type the number with its own
+code.
- Choose Create account.
- You see Check your email. Open the confirmation link Cinara sent you.
- Come back and choose Sign in.
If the email doesn't arrive, choose Resend email (it then shows Email sent again). Choose Back to sign in to return to the sign-in form.
By continuing, you agree to use Cinara responsibly, including only cloning voices you have permission to use.
- Choose Sign in.
- Enter your Email and Password.
- Choose Sign in.
If you see "Confirm your email first: open the link we sent you, then sign in.", open the confirmation email first.
To sign out, choose the sign-out icon at the top right of any page.
Verify your phone
Cinara asks for a verified mobile number before you can create anything. It keeps free credits from being misused.
- After you sign in, you see Verify your phone. Your number from sign-up is filled in.
- Check the Country code and Mobile number, then choose Send code. Standard SMS rates may apply.
- Type the 6-digit code from the text message.
- Choose Verify and continue.
Other options:
- Change number: go back and enter a different number.
- Resend code: send a new code. It becomes available 30 seconds after the last one (Resend in 0:30).
- Sign out: at the bottom of the page.
Good to know:
- One phone number can be linked to only one Cinara account.
- If a code has expired, request a new one.
See Troubleshooting for the messages you might see.
Your workspace
When you sign up, Cinara creates a workspace for you, named "Your name's workspace". You are its owner. It starts on the free plan.
- The sidebar shows your workspace name and plan at the top.
- Everything you make, your voices, pronunciations, files and API keys belong to the workspace.
- The sidebar groups features under Create, Voices and Workspace. Items marked soon aren't available yet.
Credits
Every generation costs credits.
- New accounts get 10,000 free credits once, at sign-up. They show as Free credits in Usage & Credits. Free credits are for personal, non-commercial use.
- Your balance shows at the top right of every page. Click it to open Usage & Credits.
- Home also shows how many credits are available.
- Each feature shows the cost before you start, next to its main button.
- If your balance is too low, you see Not enough credits next to the button.
- Credits are taken when a job starts. If a job fails, they are refunded automatically.
- Some features reserve credits first, then settle to the real length. For example, a song that ends early costs less than the estimate.
You can't buy more credits yet. See Buying credits for what's coming.
Where your results go
- On the feature's page. Each feature lists what you made recently, for example History on Speech, Your transcripts on Transcribe, or Recent images on Images. Click an item to open it again.
- History. Everything made in your workspace, on the site or with an API key. See History.
- Drive. Every audio, video and image result appears in Drive, alongside files you upload. You can make folders and share links. See Drive and sharing.
- Downloads. Most results have a Download button.
Long jobs keep running after you leave the page. Open the item again to see the result. Two exceptions: Studio records chapters only while its page is open, and Dubbing keeps going while its page is open somewhere and picks up again when you come back.
Recording in the browser
Several features let you record with your microphone. Recording works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
- Allow microphone access when your browser asks.
- Pick your microphone from the list and choose Test mic to check the level. Nothing is recorded during a test.
- Cinara remembers your microphone choice in this browser.
See Troubleshooting if recording doesn't work.
