Billing

Billing shows your plan and your credits, lets you change plan or buy credits, and lists everything this workspace has paid for. Open Billing in the sidebar, under Workspace.

Prices are in US dollars.

Your credits and plan

At the top, Credits left is the workspace's balance right now. The bar under it splits it in two:

• Plan credits, the ones that can expire. The line below says how many expire next, and when.
• Bought and free credits: top-ups, and free credits on the free plan.

Next to it is Your plan:

• On the free plan: 10,000 credits every month, for personal projects. The page shows when they next refill.
• On a paid plan: its credits a month, its price, and Renews on date. A yearly plan shows when next month's credits arrive.
• While a plan waits for payment: "Plan is waiting for payment. Nothing has been charged", with Finish paying and Cancel.
• After cancelling: the plan is marked Ending, with the date it ends.

Change plan and Add credits jump to those sections.

Plans

Five plans, monthly or yearly:

• Use Monthly or Yearly above the plans. A year costs the same as ten months, and credits still arrive every month.
• Creator's first month is $11 for workspaces that haven't had a plan before. After that it's $22 a month.
• Choose Choose plan to start one.

Rollover

Plan credits arrive every month. Anything you don't use rolls over for up to two more months, then expires. The plan credits you hold together never add up to more than three months of your plan; anything above that expires at renewal.

Credits are used in this order:

1. Plan credits, oldest first, because they're the ones that can expire.
2. Free credits.
3. Credits you bought.

Free credits refill to 10,000 each month and don't roll over.

Change plan

On a paid plan, every other plan card has Upgrade or Switch. Before anything happens, Cinara shows you exactly what it will do.

• Upgrade starts straight away. The difference in price is charged to the card you already pay with, without a checkout window, and the extra credits arrive as soon as it's paid. Credits you haven't used stay.
• Switch to a cheaper plan takes effect at renewal. You keep your current plan until then; unused plan credits don't carry over when you move down.
• Moving between monthly and yearly happens at renewal: cancel, and choose the other one when your plan ends.

Add credits

One-off packs, on any plan, including the free one:

Choose Buy credits on the pack you want. Bought credits are used after plan and free credits, and don't end with a plan.

Paying

1. Choose a plan or a pack.
2. A secure card checkout opens. Your card details go to the payment provider, never to Cinara.
3. Pay, and you come back to Billing with "Payment received."

Credits are granted when the payment clears, not when the checkout window closes, so they usually appear within seconds.

If you close checkout without paying, you see "Payment cancelled. Nothing was charged."

Cancel a plan

Choose Cancel plan, and confirm. The plan stays active until the end of the time you've already paid for, then the workspace moves to Free.

When a plan ends, its unused plan credits end with it. Credits you bought stay.

What each tool costs

Billing lists every tool's rate, and a table of what a month of each plan buys if every credit went on one tool. Speech made with an API key costs 0.6 credits a character instead of 1.

Payments

Everything this workspace has paid for, newest first: when, what (a plan or a pack of credits), its status and the amount.

Status	What it means
Paid	The payment cleared and the credits were granted.
Not finished	Checkout was started but never paid. Nothing was charged.
Failed	The payment didn't go through. Nothing was charged; try again.
Refunded	The payment was returned.

Who can buy

• Only a workspace owner or admin can buy credits, change plan or cancel. Other members see the page read-only.
• API keys can't buy anything. A key can read the workspace's billing state, but buying or changing plans needs someone signed in. See API Keys.

Good to know

• One plan at a time per workspace.
• A failed payment charges nothing.
• Every charge, refund, grant and expiry also shows in Usage & Credits.
