Film previs

A scene exists twice: once in your head and once on screen. Previs is everything in between, and it's where Cinara saves the most — the look you want to show a producer, the performance you want to hear, and the sound that makes a room feel like a room.

1. Look development

Open Images. Make frames for the look book at the film's aspect ratio — 16:9, or the closest shape to your frame.

• Keep characters consistent. Make one clear portrait of each character, then choose Edit a picture with that portrait as a reference for every later frame they appear in.
• Keep the world consistent. Reuse one sentence for the look — the stock, the grade, the era — in every prompt.

2. Previs shots

Open Video, choose From an image, and start each shot on a look-book frame. Describe the blocking and the camera: "slow dolly toward her as she turns from the window, rain on the glass, handheld."

Use Director's Cut for the most cinematic camera moves, or Scene to iterate cheaply.

3. The table read

Open Dialogue. Paste the scene, give each character a voice, and generate it as one file with natural pauses. Redo any single line without redoing the scene, and try a different voice until the pacing sounds right.

If an actor is attached and willing, Voice Cloning lets the table read use their own voice, with their recorded consent.

4. Temp score

Open Music. For a theme, choose Song or Instrumental and describe the instrumentation and the emotion. Studio follows your sections to the second, so a cue can swell exactly where the cut does.

5. Foley and atmospheres

Open Sound Effects.

• Describe footsteps, doors, weather and room tone in the composer, several takes at a time, or start from a sound in Explore.
• Sound for a video lays sound over a previs shot where things happen on screen.

6. Other markets

When a trailer or a festival cut needs another language, Dubbing gives every speaker a matched voice and keeps the music and effects.

Where Cinara stops

Cinara makes material you cut with. It isn't an editor or a grading suite, and a generated shot is seconds long, not minutes. Assemble the previs in the tool you already use.
